We make every effort to raise our birds as natural as possible. They are raised on high quality commercial foods developed for their various growth stages and are seasonally supplemented with a wide variety of vegetables and fruits grown here on our farm. We use ONLY natural methods to fertilize and NO chemicals of any kind are used on the birds or their garden. Their flight pens are constructed on lands covered with sagebrush and other vegetation Pheasant find compatible to their living, breeding & nesting requirements.
For years, the Chinese Ringneck has been one of the most popular of all gamebird breeds. They are hardy, adapt readily to the wild and are highly prized by sportsmen for their excellent flying ability and brilliant colors. We make every effort to insure our birds will maintain their prized qualities.
As a side project, Kathleen raises the “colored” pheasant. She is refining our Melanistic’s (Blue’s) and Buff’s. From time to time, she will also have White’s available. These birds are kept separate during breeding season to assure their purity and feather color. They are primarily for the Taxidermies but make great “trophy” birds for the hunter.
We are members of the North American Game Bird Association (NAGA) and our birds are NPIP tested.
