RKC Pheasants is located in Parma, Idaho and was a joint venture established July 2005 by Richard and Kathleen Mallery and their Grandson, Camden. Camden visited for the summer, heard a local hatchery was giving away pheasant chicks and asked if he could get some. So he and Grandpa went to the hatchery to “take a look”. The rest is history. They came home with 500 day-old babies and nowhere to put them! Quickly our dog kennels were converted into a “brooder” pen and the cute little guys took up residence.
Over the course of the summer, the birds flourished and the idea of raising them commercially became a serious consideration. They quickly drew the attention and favor of Kathleen who is a major animal lover. With the addition of her involvement, RKC Pheasants became a reality.
After 25+ successful years breeding and exhibiting purebred dogs, breeding high quality was nothing new to us. Today, our pheasant breeding program has been well thought out and is “on it’s way”!
Whether purchasing pheasant for farmland repopulation, habitat conservation, food, taxidermy or sport RKC Pheasant can supply all your needs.
